Platinum’s two Fixed Base Operations (FBOs) at Gold Coast in Queensland, and Essendon Fields in Melbourne, have been awarded the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Stage 1 certificate of registration from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) for their unwavering commitment to safety and quality ground handling.
The IS-BAH standard, which focuses on the refuelling, ground handling and hangarage of corporate aircraft, is a set of global industry’s best practices in safety management and risk mitigation for business aviation ground handlers. The accreditation process involves a complete audit of the FBO’s safety management systems, emergency and security procedures, organisational structure, training protocols and operating procedures. Certificates of registration are issued by IBAC to FBOs that have successfully demonstrated conformity to the industry’s best practice standards through completion of a third-party external audit by the IBAC accredited auditor.
”With decades of wide-ranging experience, deep industry knowledge, and exceptional customer service skills, our company’s world-class team is focused on continuously improving the client experience across all of our service areas”, said Dick Smart, the Aviation Manager of both Platinum locations. “We are extremely proud to have been accredited with an IS-BAH Stage 1 certification, which demonstrates our team is committed to delivering our valued customers with the highest standard of safety, service, quality and professionalism in ground handling services”.
“Platinum’s impeccable safety record and combined decades of experience, meaning you can take to the air confident that you are in the most reliable of hands. Platinum should be very proud to be among the highest-rated FBO’s in the industry” said Karen Hein-Jones, IS-BAH Accredited Auditor. “With their integrated approach to aviation handling services, Platinum’s customers have access to a full range of professional business aviation services”.
